A workshop to explore the benefits of Creative Journaling :  Taking gathered and found materials to reuse and repurpose, creating a personal creative journal

The creative journal is not a sketch book or portfolio – it encourages you to create an abstract response to your current mindset, enhancing your mood and wellbeing, reducing stress, promoting playful experimentation and encouraging creativity.

Collage, cut and stick, paint, draw or scribbles anything from all abstract to mixed media can make up your  journal

In the calm and open atmosphere of the workshop, IOU Artist in Residence Beth Cockcroft will lead you through the  process of starting a creative journal, to helping  you find inspiration to develop your own visual language and creative content.

To make the experience really personal participants can  bring materials such as paper, material, fragments of drawings, maps, tickets, receipts etc – or anything that has a personal connection for you, to use in starting your journal.

Tickets £5

These free places are limited and to avoid these places being wasted through late cancellations or no shows we have to request a £5 deposit, refundable on completion of the workshop.
