Studio

Workshops, Artist Support, Studio Space, Work Experience

IOU is a centre for learning with a shared multi-artform interdisciplinary practice for unexpected places that benefits artists, adults, children and young people.

With 10,000 feet of studio, workshop, exhibition and gallery space at our Creation Centre and overnight accommodation at the IOU Hebden Bridge Hostel, we support the development of skills and talent through workshops, artist support, studio space, work experience and mentoring.

Where creativity thrives

Specialist professional artists deliver IOU’s workshop programme with masterclasses and short courses to develop existing skills and teach new ones.

Suitable for community groups, adults, children and young people at all levels. Check programme for details.

Artist Development

We help support and produce artists and artist groups to deliver productions and reach audiences and communities through IOU’s Space, Time, Tools, Advice programme.

"Very atmospheric, sets the imagination and memories whirring."
